Il campione europeo e vincitore della Coppa del Mondo Under23, Gerhard Kerschbaumer, guiderà i nove biker convocati del direttore tecnico azzurro, Hubert Pallhuber, per la XCO Saalfelden Race, in programma a Saalfelden (Austria) domenica 16 ottobre.

Kerschbaumer utilizzerà per prima volta in una prova XCO internazionale la nuova Bianchi Methanol 29 SL, che sta testando da alcune settimane con riscontri estremamente positivi. Grazie alle speciali geometrie Bianchi, infatti, Gerhard Kerschbaumer riesce a mantenere il medesimo assetto che utilizza sulla Methanol SL2 (26").

Cristian Cominelli prenderà invece parte domenica 16 ottobre, a Plzen (Repubblica Ceca), alla prima prova della Coppa del Mondo di ciclocross. Secondo dopo i primi due appuntamenti del Giro d’Italia Cross, Cominelli proverà a dire la sua su Bianchi D|2 Cross Carbon in una gara che si preannuncia veloce ed emozionante.

Venerdì 14 ottobre, invece, Tony Longo sarà operato al Policlinico Borgo Roma di Verona dal dottor Massimo Corain, per ridurre la frattura scomposta allo scafoide della mano destra.

ENGLISH VERSION Kerschbaumer to test 2012 World Championship’s course in Austria with new Bianchi Methanol 29 SL

European champion Gerhard Kerschbaumer is among the nine bikers capped by the Italy’s manager Hubert Pallhuber to enter the XCO Saalfelden Race in Saalfelden (Austria) on Sunday, October 16th. On the 2012 World Championships’ course, TX Active-Bianchi’s U23 rider and World Cup XCO’s winner will be on the starting line of the Elite and U23 men race at 2 pm.

Kerschbaumer will run for the first time an international XCO race on the new Bianchi Methanol 29 SL, which he’s currently testing providing fantastic feedbacks. Bianchi, in fact, succeeded to assure him the same set-up he had on his Bianchi Methanol SL2 bike thanks to Bianchi optimized geometry.

Cristian Cominelli will take part at the Cyclo-cross World Cup’s round-1 in Plzen (Czech Republic) on Sunday, October 16th. Second placed after Giro d’Italia Cross’ round-2, Italian rider aims to be in the spotlight with Bianchi D|2 Cross Carbon bike, in a race which looks to be fast and thrilling.

On Friday, October 14th, Tony Longo will be operate in Verona (Italy) by surgeon Massimo Corain, to reduce the fracture at the right hand’s scaphoid.
