Gerhard Kerschbaumer, atleta della TX Active-Bianchi, campione italiano ed europeo e vincitore della Coppa del Mondo MTB 2011 nella categoria U23, è assieme alla velista Francesca Clapcich il testimonial di I.Got (Italcementi Group Olympic Team), progetto a sostegno di giovani talenti impegnati nel percorso di preparazione alle qualificazioni olimpiche. Un team virtuale, nato quest'anno sotto il segno di valori come eccellenza, amicizia e rispetto.

Un investimento mirato, quello di Italcementi Group (già al fianco del team Bianchi con il marchio TX Active), che oltre a essere sponsor dei due atleti ne promuove l’immagine sul sito www.igot-talent.com.

I risultati sportivi di Kerschbaumer stanno confermando l'atleta della TX Active-Bianchi come l'astro nascente della specialità. Sabato 20 agosto il campione di Bressanone si è imposto in Val di Sole nella prova finale della Coppa del Mondo MTB, vinta con un turno d'anticipo in Repubblica Ceca. E il 4 settembre tenterà l'assalto al titolo iridato ai Mondiali di Champéry, in Svizzera, dove è atteso ancora una volta tra i grandi protagonisti.

Kerschbaumer joins Italcementi’s “I.got” project towards London 2012

Ambition, determination and skill to get the top. In two words, "I.got" project. TX Active-Bianchi's rider Gerhard Kerschbaumer, Italian and European champion and 2011 World Cup XCO's winner in U23 series, has been chosen (together with sailor Francesca Clapcich) to represent I.got (Italcementi Group Olympic Team), a supporting project for young talents on the road to 2012 Olympics. It’s some sort of virtual team, created this year under the sign of values like excellence, friendship and fair-play.

Italcementi Group (already sponsoring Bianchi MTB team under TX Active brand) did a targeted investment supporting both athletes’ and promoting their image through www.igot-talent.com website.

Latest results achieved all over the world confirmed Kerschbaumer as the mountain bike circus’ rising star. Last Saturday, August 20th, the Alto Adige native rider took the World Cup XCO’s last round, in Val di Sole, after having overpowered the overall title in Czech Republic one week earlier. On Sunday, September 4th, Kerschbaumer will make his assault to the World Championships, to be held in Champéry (Switzerland): to score a hit at the "rainbow" race would be the icing on the cake of a wonderful season.
