Il francese Stephane Tempier e l'italiano Gerhard Kerschbaumer del team TX Active-Bianchi prenderanno parte alla settima e ultima prova della Coppa del Mondo XCO, in programma sabato 28 luglio in Val d'Isère (Francia).

L'U23 Kerschbaumer in sella a Bianchi Methanol SL2 sarà in gara alle 9. L'obiettivo è puntare più in alto possibile, anche per concludere sul podio la Coppa: attualmente l'italiano è quarto con 282 punti, 73 meno del leader Van der Heijden. Secondo ai campionati di Francia, l'élite Tempier su Bianchi Methanol SL2 mira a chiudere la challenge UCI con un piazzamento nella Top-10. In classifica generale è 17° con 429 punti. Il via alle 14.

Impegno in patria per Tony Longo, in gara domenica 29 luglio nella 5a Granfondo Alta Valtellina a Bormio (Lombardia), corsa Point to Point che vedrà al via anche lo junior Federico Barri su Methanol SX.

Il suo coetaneo Cristian Boffelli parteciperà invece al Giro del Monte Canto a Pontida (Bergamo), mentre gli altri quattro esponenti dello Junior team - Giorgio Rossi, Oscar Vairetti, Chiara Teocchi e Katia Moro - saranno a Pila (Aosta) per la Coppa Italia Giovanile XCO.

Tempier and Kerschbaumer tackle World Cup XCO in Val d’Isère

TX Active-Bianchi's French Stephane Tempier and Italian Gerhard Kerschbaumer will enter World Cup XCO's seventh and last round in Val d'Isère (France), on Saturday, July 28th.

U23 Kerschbaumer on Bianchi Methanol SL2 will be on the starting line at 9. Italian riders aims to reach the top again, to take the podium in the World Cup GC: actually Gerhard is fourth with 282 points, 72 less than leader Van der Heijden. Runner up at France Championships, élite Tempier on Bianchi Methanol SL2 set himself the target of reaching the Top-10 in the last race of UCI challenge. In the GC Tempier is 17th with 429 points. Elite race will start at 2 pm.

Tony Longo will race home. On Sunday, July 29th, Italian rider will be in the action in Bormio (Lombardy) at 5th Granfondo Alta Valtellina, P2P race. Junior Federico Barri on Methanol SX will be in Bormio as well.

His coetaneous Cristian Boffelli will take part at Giro del Monte Canto in Pontida, in the same Italian region. The further four Junior team's athletes - Giorgio Rossi, Oscar Vairetti, Chiara Teocchi and Katia Moro - will play their cards at Youth Italian Cup XCO in Pila (Aosta, Northern Italy).
