L'Under 23 Gerhard Kerschbaumer su Bianchi Methanol SL2 ha vinto la MTB Night Race 2012 a Silandro (Bolzano), gara disputata in notturna sabato 14 luglio. L'atleta del team TX Active-Bianchi, con la maglia della nazionale italiana, ha preceduto di 19 secondi l'U23 l'austriaco Alexander Gehbauer e di 27 l'altoatesino Franz Hofer e il compagno di squadra Tony Longo, anch'egli in sella a Bianchi Methanol SL2.

Longo è stato protagonista nella prima parte della gara, condotta davanti all'iridato Thomas Litscher e a Gehbauer. Dal terzo giro l'atleta trentino è stato frenato da un problema tecnico, mentre Kerschbaumer ha preso il comando della gara, vincendo in solitaria.

La campionessa italiana Katia Moro su Bianchi Methanol SX è stata la migliore delle Esordienti nel "Cross country del Grappa" a Peja (Bergamo), domenica 15 luglio.

Kerschbaumer wins the MTB Night Race, Longo took fourth

Under 23 Gerhard Kerschbaumer on Bianchi Methanol SL2 clinched victory at MTB Night Race 2012 in Silandro (Northern Italy), race under floodlights, on Saturday, July 14th. TX Active-Bianchi's Italian, wearing national team's jersey, crossed the finish line 19 seconds ahead of Austrian Alexander Gehbauer e 27 seconds ahead of countryman Franz Hofer and team-mate Tony Longo, on Bianchi Methanol SL2 as well.

Longo was in the forefront in the early race, ahead of World Champion Thomas Litscher and Gehbauer. TX Active-Bianchi's élite rider suffered technical problems in the third lap, whilst Kerschbaumer achieved the race's lead, going to take a solo win.

Italian champion Katia Moro was the best among Rookie at "Cross country del Grappa" in Peja (Bergamo, Northern Italy) on Sunday, June 15th.
