 Quattro atleti ai primi quattro posti del GP d’inverno MTB 2012. Miglior esordio di squadra non poteva esserci per il team TX Active-Bianchi, equipaggiato da Bianchi con i modelli Methanol SL2 e Methanol 29SL, protagonista a Orvieto domenica 4 marzo con gli elite Stephane Tempier, Tony Longo e Leonardo Paez e con l’under 23 Gerhard Kerschbaumer. Stephane Tempier ha colto il suo terzo successo in altrettante gare del 2012, dopo quelli di Penafiel e Silves in Portogallo. Secondo, a 34 secondi dal francese, si è piazzato Gerhard Kerschbaumer. Con il tempo di 1.25’24”, l’altoatesino è stato il migliore della categoria Under23. Terzo assoluto e secondo élite Tony Longo (a 1’14” da Tempier), che ha preceduto il colombiano Leonardo Paez (a 1’50”). Tempier è stato fra i più brillanti sin dalle prime fasi della gara, disputata su un circuito di 6 km percorso 5 volte, mentre Kerschbaumer è stato protagonista di una rimonta e di un bel duello in famiglia con Longo. Il team manager Massimo Ghirotto promuove i suoi: “Posso dirmi soddisfatto della prova dei ragazzi. Abbiamo fatto un buon lavoro in vista del grande appuntamento del 17 e 18 marzo, quando debutteremo in Coppa del Mondo”, le sue parole. Prima stagionale anche per lo Junior team, che ha applaudito la prova dell’esordiente Katia Moro su Bianchi Methanol SX, capace di battere anche le allieve nel “1° Trofeo Città di Tregnago”, in Veneto. Fra gli allievi, invece, terzo posto per Giorgio Rossi e quinto per Oscar Vairetti. Gli juniores hanno gareggiato a Orvieto nel “1° GP d’inverno MTB”: Federico Barri è giunto quarto, a un soffio dal podio, mentre Cristian Boffelli si è piazzato ottavo. ENGLISH VERSION Team TX Active-Bianchi picks a full hand in Italy Team TX Active-Bianchi placed four riders in the first four positions at 2012 GP d’Inverno MTB in Orvieto (Central Italy), on Sunday, March 4th. Felice Gimondi’s team, equipped with Bianchi Methanol SL and Methanol 29 SL bikes, took the top positions with élites Stephane Tempier, Tony Longo and Leonardo Paez and U23 Gerhard Kerschbaumer. Stephane Tempier picked the three-of-a-kind after the victories in Penafiel and Silves (Portugal), with a 34-second advantage on Gerhard Kerschbaumer. The U23 European champion was the best of his series with a time of 1:25:24. Tony Longo was third overall and runner-up among élites, 1:14 behind Tempier, whilst Leonardo Paez rounded out the élite podium, crossing the line 36 seconds behind Longo. Tempier performed brightly since the early race, 5 laps on a 6-km circuit, while Kerschbaumer recovered and dueled with team-mate Longo, outdistanced in the final lap. “I’m satisfied with the performance of my riders. We made a good work in view of the event scheduled on March 17th-18th, the World Cup XCO’s opening round” team manager Massimo Ghirotto stated. The Junior Team could be happy with the performance of rookie Katia Moro on Bianchi Methanol SX, who managed to even edge the Cadets at the “1st Trofeo Città di Tregnago” (North-Eastern Italy). Giorgio Rossi placed third and Oscar Vairetti fifth among Cadets.
